Introduction:
Guess the Word is a classic word-guessing game where players attempt to guess a hidden word one letter at a time. It's a fun and challenging game that can be enjoyed by people of all ages. In this tutorial, we'll go through the rules and mechanics of playing Guess the Word.
Set-up:
1- Determine who will be the "host" or "game master" responsible for choosing the hidden word. 2- The host selects a word to be guessed by the players. This word should not be too short or too long, ideally between 5 to 10 letters. 3-The host writes dashes "_ _ _ _ _" representing each letter of the word, leaving space between each dash.
Gameplay:
1- The host reveals the dashes representing the letters of the hidden word to the players. 2- layers take turns guessing letters that they think are in the hidden word. 3- If the guessed letter is in the hidden word, the host replaces the corresponding dash(es) with the guessed letter in the correct position(s). If the letter appears more than once, all occurrences are revealed. 4- If the guessed letter is not in the hidden word, the host informs the players and may draw part of a hangman figure as a penalty (optional). 5- Players continue taking turns guessing letters until they either guess the word correctly or make too many incorrect guesses. 6- If players guess the word correctly within the allowed number of attempts, they win the game. Otherwise, they lose.
Rules:
1- Players can only guess one letter at a time. 2- Letters must be from the English alphabet (A-Z). 3- Players should take turns and not interrupt each other's guesses. 4- The host may choose to set a limit on the number of incorrect guesses allowed before the game ends. 5- The host may provide hints or clues if the players are having difficulty guessing the word.
